They aren't bad actually. They take cover and poke out and shoot even. Still have dumb ai moments, but better than previous fallout i've found.

Weird I've just stuck with preston so far.. since I can get behind the Minutemen idea. I finally realized how kickass I can make my guns.. so I have a pipeautorifle a hunting rifle.. mainly for the scope and then a pistol. Also.. I found a nuke launcher somehwere but only have two rounds. Guess ill save that for a boss.

Seems the CD only has 4 gigs of the 25 gigs it requires and it downloads the rest..

I think Preston is the only companion I haven't bothered to level up with in any of my playthroughs, lol. Much prefer Dogmeat to him even hahaha.

I dunno I like prestons laser rifle.. if he spots someone.. the red laser beam points to where I need to look. The dog is melee only

You can just give any follower that same gun...

Dogmeat is just less annoying than Preston for me, and he carries a shit tonne of stuff!

played for a bit, got power armour really quickly, and I finally figured how to exit it.. pretty cool,

Yeah, you get Power Armour in the second mission. Getting power cores to keep it running isn't easy though.

Yeah NE of Sancturay Hills is a junkyard and there is a fusion core there in an army box by the big green 3 legged bot. Out in a field near another crashed helo is a suit. I have both suits just parked at my main base in Sanctuary, and been collecting fusion cores from the basements of powered buildings (like USAF radar station, the Corvega factory, etc)

Ive killed a few Raider suits, but they only drop heavy component, no cores so far.

Mobs wearing power armour never have cores in them...unlesssss it's a Brotherhood Knight and he actually steps out of the armour and you stealth in and jump into it before he notices, lol!

this game is pretty awesome,

i just cleared out the assembly plant.. its pretty tough and i don't have much ammo left, i'm looking forward to actually getting into the game a bit and having a colony and such.

i haven't figure out crafting yet, other then cooking..

I just helped a space marine clear out the factory full of synths. Creepy as hell.. though now I have the marines tau gun. Sorry it just looks like a tau pulse rifle lol. I kept every institute gun.. they didn't sell for as much as I thought. Andrew.. go to diamond city.. and get to the market place. At least they have a good supply of ammo for you there and you can always fast travel to the market from then on.

yeah, i am on my way to diamond city, helping some paladin first though,

the game plays really well, i can see how there are tones of different ways to play it,

i also really like how you can get into most of the buildings,

Yeah the paladin totally isn't a deathwatch marine lol. Was surprised at no For the Emperor scrolls on his armor

turns out there is a recipe to cook glue so you don't have to find it,

but I cant really figure crafting will have to watch a video on it,

I'm definitely liking this game,

I got a little tired of the main story got to diamond city and rescued some guy who was try to teach mutants to be civilized..

Anyhow I went off to the east, and i have been just killing stuff and clearing areas, cleared out a whole subway station where the institute was fighting with raiders..

Don't care much for the over the shoulder, but the First person view is pretty good,

ya, i just use the over the shoulder when im walking around, i find it easier to scan and see objects to loot. I should fire that game up again i haven't played it for a while, same with witcher 3

Y'all are making me want to play again, lol.

Have to see if I can start up a new build and have some fun. One youtuber does character videos on how to 'roleplay' a lot of pop culture heroes.
