the last list is USA but they are called honeys instead of stuarts, isnt honey the british version cause it was slightly different then the usa one, like the grant/lee was different cause it was an export model to the british as well and different. Lee being usa version, grant british.

oh never mind, its a british list he is pretending is usa. unofficial points for 4 m10s is 24.

Wow.

I am stunned. Many of the lists are so "spammy"...this is how they want the game played? And "command cards" - so janky and gamey...I don't know, its starting to turn me off, has a real GW game vibe to it now.....

Just wait for the cards and books to not match and have different stats on some things -ie- confusion between what a "Grant" actually does, depending on card/book your using it from? Gawd....it's like they want to confuse the player base....
This company really smacks of having no clue...

So glad I have TY now, which surprises me to even say lol!

fyi there is no bogging now, taken from wwpd: In the past it was called a “Bog” check and the unit stopped and received a status marker indicating it was “Bogged Down”. In V4 (EW/MW/LW) a failed cross check just causes the unit to stop before it gets into terrain, it can still shoot and assault.

Also all MGs on tanks are 360, there is no hull mounted front fire.

Don't judge too harshly until you play it. Pretty much all the major games are going the GW way now. Allows a lot more freedom to play what you want, which I for one love. Sure it's possibly open to more abuse but I know in our group it will take a FNF or two to quickly cool someone's heels from running something too broken lol.

Until we see the whole game and how everything interacts we are only guessing.

ie: the 360 fire arc for hull mounted MGs is good as it gets away from micro-positioning but could be considered a nerf to inf in assault unless they get a buff elsewhere (like no pinning on assault).

And the 100 pt sample lists -- I assume they are equivalent to 2000 pts in v3 so I doubt we would actually play that many points. Unless the game actually is that much faster.

i would assume 1500, at least to keep the ratios the same for points from previous editions, i did the math. A tiger went from 32% of a 1500 pts list to 26% in a 1500 pt list to 29% in version 4. Panzer III was similar, it sat between the V1 and V2 books at 9%, 7% now its 8% of your force.

Its just simplified, they got rid of a lot of crap that just bogged down game play. Its going to be interesting anyways.

this approach is all well and good for casual play, but it hurts tournament play..

will have to wait and see how it all pans out,

A.

Re-mounting is way better.
Protected Ammo....I'm with Tris on that one, would rather have the re-roll. Though I am not sure which is better (not a math guy), I think because a reluctant tank would have crap remount....protected ammo actually helps a little more.

I think the sample of games we have played with the rules are over 75% correct and a large enough size to figure out most of the mechanics, I think one thing that will take longer than learning the rules is that list building will be a LOT different. Multiple formations (Companies) will be something that will make it easier to have a list that has more options.

If my maths are correct the the re-roll is better but difference is fairly that it's a bit of a moot point. Plus aside from some novelty LW German lists I doubt there's a whole lot of tanks that have protect ammo and a reluctant rating.

ratingoldnew
reluctant 5+, 4+ = 66% | 4+ = 50%
confident 4+, 4+ = 75% | 3+ = 66%
fearless 3+, 4+ = 83% | 2+ = 83%

The Brits called them Stuarts with the nickname "Honey." The Americans called them M3 or M5

well the americans had m3 everything, m3 gun, my tank, m3 truck, m3 halftrack. Captain "sergeant go get me an m3..." it made more sense to nickname everything.

It was just his list named stuarts and honey in same list so it threw me off, i was like they are both m3.

Ya the Brits supported the south during the Civil War as the plantation owners provided the cotton needed for the English textile industry.

Actually, that's not entirely true. By the time the civil started there was enough stockpiled / surplus cotton in England to see them through any shortage that might have occurred during the war. The mills never came to a grinding halt like the South had hoped. Any impact was minimal. While there were some that supported the rebel cause the majority of Brits did not and they certainly didn't support slavery. The Confederates did play games with the Brits and managed to outfit a few "raiders" by having so called merchant vessels constructed in England but the ships themselves once launched were outfitted as men of war elsewhere. The idea that England would come to the aid of the Confederates was a forlorn hope expressed by many southerners. The truth is any delegates that the rebels sent to England and France were actually sidelined and had very little political influence other then a bit of skullduggery they pulled off in getting a few "raiders" constructed.
