T-35 is IN!! hahaha. Land Battleship time! Nice to see that the top german tank is the King Tiger, not like that other game where it sucks.

Cant wait to see the other nations.. though I doubt Japanese are going to have any tanks.. wonder what they will do there.

So basically war thunder will not have any of the big cool tanks? Oh well to each their own, it'll still be worth a try for sure!

what do you mean big cool tanks, it has the elefant, jadgtiger, all 3 models of the king tiger, IS-4, t-54, ... you mean the tanks that never made it out of prototype stage? This is just the start too, they will probably add post ww2 down the road like the did for the plane section. The t-54 is a 1951 tank and its a good tank, not sure what you mean. They are going more for a simulation feel then wot i think as well, it wont be full sim obviously.

Ah, well Dennis made it sound like the KT was the top of the top, maybe I just misread it.

Don't get me wrong, I like the idea of this game too but I'm probably on the opposite end of the spectrum as Dennis about 'reality' in games. I play whatever is most fun at the time. I don't care one lick about historical accuracy since its just a game, whatever is most fun.

If War Thunder plays better than WoT ill play it for sure.

Well now they set themselves up with the same problem as wg did. You can't have post war tanks without found down the past of making ones up for Germany for balance purposes

really? Russia has t54's. They could just add the Leopard 1 or whatever

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] there is a post war panther used by germany. They may not have anything post war for germany because there was nothing until the 60s. Who knows what they have planed for post ww2, it may not even include germans or maybe they will use american tanks like they did irl.

I dont think Germany got to have any plans for post war.. given that it was divided into sectors administered by the allies.. East was Russia's, North was UK, South east was Canada and France, and the rest the USA. It was only when it lookd like the warsaw pact was coming down the pike that they got to build their own crap again.

the thing is with war thunder vs wot is also the maps are made to be semi historical, rather then just a map like other shooters. When you do historical mode, say battle of Britain, you select 1 of 8 planes the brits flew or 1 of 8 the germans flew at that time, thats it. So it could be that post ww2 its could be german planes supporting nato ground forces ie usa and or britain vs ussr.

Historical mode is Very different then arcade mode, as where WOT is just arcade mode so in WOT the tanks need to be somewhat balanced as in war thunder you'll see KV-1 L11 fighting panzer III E and F1 because they didn't have the upgunned tanks yet. The game is done by date not by tier for historical battles.
