My favourite war. Seen all the army videos, so thanks for the RAF one.

I think I might have to get a BAOR army for Team Yankee, if i can get my hands on a 1/ 144 scale Vulcan B2.2
I still can;t believe the refueling strategy.. 13 refuelers for one plane.. again, 100% british

I think bolt action scale is the only way you could model british teeth white smile, then dots of black ? Look more like Alfred E Newman

Cool. I knew about the bombing run in very general terms (ie: it happened) but didn't have any idea about the logistics of the whole thing.

I think it's more -- fixing the refueling nozels with the ashtray from the mess & being duty bound to go past the point of no return to carry out the mission.

Or being hungover the from the night before!
There was a reason they had no refueling probes. In the 1970s, the SALT treaties to limit nuclear weapons, a bunch of countries signed an agreement and removed the refueling probes from some aircraft. The russians removed them but they were easily re-added. The UK Vulcans had them removed as well, hence why they had to scramble for parts. The US kept the nuclear bomber force 'close by' IE greenland, Europe, etc but in the 1960s a B-52 flew around the world non-stop with refueling, just to prove it was possible.
