Stug IIIG or Panthers

510 for 3 StuGs - range 32", AT 11, RoF 2, FP 3+
550 for 2 Panthers - range 32", AT 14, RoF 2, FP 3+

Whats the better deal? 4 shots at AT 14, or 6 at AT 11? I'm thinking the higher output of shots is best, considering most tanks in MW are Front Armor 6 at best.

Also, Panther have better front/side armor, but same top. So are just as vulnerable. And really, StuGs at range are armor 8 - pretty solid..

I so wished the Americans had taken a page from Germany and made some decent AT tanks, not just on squishy TD platforms. Would kill to have a panther-esque equivalent for US.

Hmmm prior to the M36 coming out I'd agree with AT 12, but I can see this thing being AT 14 if it ever comes out and that would be nice. Even the hellcats and M10s are AT 13 now, the 90mm guns should be a bit more 'punchy'

Hmmm purely for modelling wonder if anyone makes 1:100 Pershings yet?

hetzers are late war, i'd go with panzer IV f1 they are the best vs churches and kv1s...

i'd say the panthers would be more of a threat then the stugs, but having 3 stugs is would be better vs non heavy targets.

Did you think of using a 1942 Schwere Panzer Platoon with 1 tiger and 1 panzer III N for 495 or 500 if you up it to M or L. I know the panzer III gun is only 9. The tiger ignores the panzer III if it gets destoryed. Its a little cheaper on pts but you have less higher end fire power.

I'd say StuG's as AT 14 vs Allies is overkill in MW... if it weren't red on blue, I don;t know if its so clear-cut.. but knowing you don;t have to face any Tigers and such is great. While yes there will be a few Churchills, they have a crap gun in MW (LW isnt so great either), so really they aren;t much of a threat to your AT assets..

No idea, but I tell you what.. I'm not changing my list after pouring in the hours to get the Churchills done Just have markings left to do tonite on them, and then base infantry.

No one checks this forum anyways right At least I sleuthed it out.

So last night I went and painted the 8th army red 'rat' symbol and the ID number on all my churchills.. only to just now find out that Kingforce churchills didnt have them painted on when they went into battle (just found a pic of all 6 getting fueled up prior to their first battle). So I get to repaint over.. awesome.
