So the FAQ states that aircraft can use movement orders. Great. In this hypothetical world where the unit commander can coax an extra few knots of speed by yelling into his radio, what happens in the following situation:
British TOW-Lynxes are coming in from reserves/loiter. They want to Blitz onto the board in order to not count as moving in order to fire TOWs at some russian tanks.
If they FAIL, do they stay OFF the board? or do they move on the table, but unable to fire? If they move, can they go anywhere or just 4 inches from any edge?
If they PASS, do they move 4 inches from a board edge? Or because their movement is unlimited, are they magically able to go anywhere, not count-as moving, and unleash TOW death?
Same thing with my Hind's. Can I blitz my helo's on the board, then land them. Then Blitz the guys out if the infantry pass the skill? or can I only do so by landing the Hind's within 4 inches of the board edge?
Since movement orders for aircraft has already been allowed, I would lean towards if they fail, they come on 4 inches but can't fire. If they pass, they come in 4 inches, and can then fire. I think the times where helicopters successfully drop off troops is probably million-to-one odds, so would like to see the ability to drop troops straight away.. but I'm not named Phil....

Ref reserves
if you succede, you may move up to 4" onto the table from wherever your reserves arrive from (you may also blitz out of loiter along your own table edge)
if you fail, then you must elect to loiter OR move normally, thus forgoeing the option to shoot with your move or fire weapons (note if you fail to blitz you dont get the 4" of movement)
You may blitz to land, troops may then blitz to dismount.......but if you blitz out of reserves to land you are still restricted to playing thehinds within 4" of your board edge.
The search function is junk, but at least all of your questions have been addressed before....which made them easy to answer
