V4 Arrives in Petawawa

Hey Gents,

I've been a bit quiet of late except for the odd e mail on cancelling tournaments...........anyhow, thought you might be interested in hearing that Gary is expecting v4 rules and replacement books as early as of tomorrow, Wed 08 Mar. He indicated that he is suppose to get 40 sets. If you're thinking about coming to Petawawa to pick up a set give Gary a call first to ensure the books did arrive. Ensure also that you bring your old set of v3 rules so he can "sticker" them. Cheers.

The V3 mini is good enough for both books as per battlefront.

Yes mini rules books are valid, one of the battlefront guys said it in the v4 release day message, how is he getting 40 and fdb like 16 only, they are listed on battlefront launch event same as perkins i would have figured they would get more then that. Guess they just didn't order that many.

Actually, no. I confirmed with Gary that the official release is this Sat. So you can start picking them up then. Mini rule books are valid. He received 40 copies based on the original amount of V3 rule books that he sold, plus a few extra's. Make sure you bring your rule book with you or he will not "sticker" you. You will be able to keep your v3 rule book. If you didn't buy your rule book with him, he is prepared to do the swap regardless as he has a few extras. Again, if you're planning on driving all that way it would be best to phone him first to be on the safe side: 613 687 6394.

i haven't bought a rule book since V1, got them all free. which throws battlefronts numbers off to how many a store sold, like fandom probably sold a few dozen but gave away like 50 v3 books for example.

Right but if BF says mini rulebooks are allowed his time that throws everything off. Before you had to buy a rulebook to get a new Edition one. If they let you do the mini ones this time it'll screw over a lot of people I bet.

I traded my small V2 for a small V3 when that version came out,

I agree the trading might throw off the numbers I hope 16 is enough for FDB, our group alone needs 6 or 7

I'm pretty sure that store numbers were based on the number of Hardback Rulebooks and Starter Boxes sold. 

That being said... I bought two starters from Fandom II...
