Hey, my name is Jordan. I'm representing the Awesome guys at Carleton. We are hoping to establish diplomatic relations for local event co-ordination purposes. Primarily we engage in Flames of War but are right now getting into some Lasalle. We would love to co-ordinate for a Flames campaign in February and we are doing a group order to cash in on OldGlory15s Christmas sale. Also, I'm interested in meeting up with you guys for flames and other games, are there regular meetups or is it more or less just individual guys meeting up?

We play mostly late war V4 but we have a couple guys working on midwar armies. No team yankee so far. Lasalle plays very nice. Just had my first game in a while last night, French infantry (Swiss mercenaries) against Russian Guard and the Swiss, despite suffering heavy losses managed to hold the line for a minor victory. It's a very simple game to play without very many rules but it's endless in it's depth, it's actually one of the best designed games I've ever played.

Most of us only have 15mm models but I personally would not be opposed to mixing scales for casual games. I know some people are really not into that for aesthetic and other reasons but Lasalle is really forgiving with basing so it's possible. As long as a standard sized unit can be made from 4 bases (or the equivalent of 4 bases) with 40mm base frontage it can be used.

It's pretty laid back. It's designed more or less to be balanced within theatres. So it's not really scenario based, the balance is that you have generic army lists for each nation and they are relatively well balanced against each other. It certainly can do scenarios though. It also abstracts a lot of different things like skirmishing and is generally more focused on unit positions and how those positions affect the game than having a huge number of rules to look through.
