Kingston TY Tournament - Summer Schwerpunkt 28 July 2019

We are going to try to run our next event for the year in Kingston in July. Details below have been sent to Nexus. Hopefully they will have the registration up on their website in the near future.

Event: Kingston – Schwerpunkt 2019

Date: Sunday, 28 July 2019

Period: Team Yankee

Points: 70

Rules: Lists from all official Team Yankee books, including Czechoslovak Peoples Armies, Polish Peoples Armies, and Oil Wars, will be accepted. We will use the More Missions Victory Conditions, but the TO will determine the mission for each round.
Scoring: 80% Generalship, 20% Sportsmanship. Best Painted will be announced but is not worked into the scoring.
Painting: Models must be painted. Infantry can be mono-colour but their bases must be painted a different colour; national paint schemes may vary e.g. Iranian Chieftains could be painted in British paint scheme. Any proposed proxies must be identified at the time of list submission and must be approved by the TO and the appropriate card must be used e.g A British painted Chieftain can be used for Iran but the player must have/use the Iranian unit card.

Army Lists: Army lists must be submitted to the TO one week prior to the event at [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]. This will allow the TO to send a copy of the event program to players in advance. Please bring four typed copies of your list with your name on them on the day of the tournament. 16 spots are available for registration. The TO will play if there is an odd number of players on the today.

I notice the boys have finally put the info up on the Nexus events page for registration which is good news. I will now start trying to beat the drum a little louder to let folks know that it is on and open for registration.

My Marines are starting to come together! Not sure how effective they are but they should all be painted by the tourney.

We are slightly less than three weeks out from the TY tournament in Kingston. I thought it would be a good time to get an indication of those on the Forum as to who thinks they may be attending. This will help determine how much terrain needs to be tracked down, etc. I am currently tracking 7 fully registered or have requested a spot. I will be sending an email to Marc to confirm with the Laval gang. Please spread the word to others who may be interested.

Thanks for the offer. I am doing a quick inventory among the group here in town and count your offer as well. I should be able to let you know after this coming Sunday when all the intended players should have emailed me their list. That will give us a rough table count. Cheers.
