Tribute to Normandy landings....... Empty Tribute to Normandy landings.......

On the Chive this morning:

British artists Jamie Wardley and Andy Moss took to Normandy beach with a team of volunteers last week to stencil over 9000 silhouettes in the sand. The project served as a tribute to the soldiers who fought in the “D-Day” battle of 1944.

Talk about being blown away at the scale of it all. What a great project to both rise awareness and to make sure we all remember their sacrifice.
