Who Needs to order more Bases...and Glue, lol!?
Ok, so my fingers are near dead after all this filing of metal infantry.
After a couple nights work, I have two bags of infantry assembled. This has netted me 17 bases of line infantry (in advancing poses) and a unit of Grenzers and a unit of Jagers.
Found out how Light infantry are based...and it means more figures for them. They are (for Austrians anyways) in units of 4 or 6 bases. The rear bases (2 or 3 depending on unit size) are based the same as line infantry. The front rank are done as 'skirmishers' meaning 3-4 models per base but generally the more 'active' poses like reloading etc.
Kicker is, you have to have more skirmish bases ready so when the unit is in skirmish formation you replace the rear rank with skirmish bases.
Anyways, here is what I mean, Grenzers on the left, Jagers on the right. Rear rank is as per line infantry, then the front rank is as a skirmisher base. The extra guys in front are the replacements for the rear rank when I go into Skirmish formation, phew!

I have to thank the guys on the FOGN forum, they have been overwhelming in their help so far.
Also, here are the line infantry done up a couple nights ago!

How did the game go last night? I wanted to be there but I have something due at work on Monday so I had to put in more hours on it...

Yeah it was fun.. was a TAD surprised at the short ranges of gunfire, but it means more opportunity for Manoeuver.. also I like the pros and cons of each formation.. Extended line gets way more firepower and is harder to hit from shooting, but suffer less dice for Cohesion and combat.. while Inf Squares are easier to hit in shooting but are a tough nut to crack vs Cav and get bonuses to ldr, while the good ole tactical formation is the bread and butter formation. Also, had no idea that Hussars are also Light Cav (which I have a TONNE of) so I will be selling them to anyone who wants hussars.. 15$ new in bag lol.

M. Varnish, is there any chance that your hussars-in-a-bag might look like the chaps on this page?

Don't fire till you see the whites of their eyes! It's about 67 yards (60m) for 15 mm per mu (1") so shooting 134 yards and less is close range. A pair of game turns is approx 20 min. Artillery has a range of 1072 yards. I'm leaning toward Russians.
