Idea for the Retr-Olympics

So, the other night I got nothing productive done thanks to the retro gaming, and I was thinking.. we should make some events and a pts system

So lets say this hypothetical event has 4 players, and have to get points from various "disciplines' , lets say 5 of them, and tally up. Disciplines would include: Arcade Shooters (like Earth Defence Force, aka the hardest game in a long-ass time), Racing Title (Mario Kart.. but maybe you go Time Trial Times like in F1 Qualifying?) VS Fighting games (so mini Street Fighter TOurnament), Puzzle Games (Dr Mario or Tetris) and finally Bash Em Ups, like Rampage or Streets of Rage. You would have to somehow weight each discipline as equal, so maybe F1-style points per event.. this way a crushing victory in Street Fighter is worth the same as the guy who got the furthest on 3 'lives' in Streets of Rage...
