Its making me finish off a bunch of stuff I had laying around for my LW krauts.

is atlantik wall newer or earth and steel?

atlantik wall is a reprint of earth and steel, so it's slightly newer, it has slight price adjustments for some units. I don't like it as much because they made the lists more generic. For instance 2nd SS never had Tiger support or panzerspah units (earth and steel) but in AW they do. The tigers were assisting the 12 SS and also the 12 SS had its own panzerspah units.

Yeah. THe uber cheap Lehr MG/Faust teams are reasnably priced now, and the cost of the heavy breakthrough guns refelct their new and improved stats. They changed one of the french-hulled rocket mortar thingies to work like a land mattress.. where you take skill checks to reload, but it counts as more guns. Hans von Shmuck still sucks though

Thats how I felt about Stuarts (specefically, Marty's stuarts!) and Russian tanks.. Leads to too many purchases lol. But US vs British tanks, there is no comparison, the US ones are always better. <sadface>

Yes, semi indirect fire. But you have to be at long range (>16) and have not moved during the turn so it's pretty situational.

yeah.. stabs are better, you can choose to use them or not dependng on which is better in each situation..

And the good tanks don;t have it (17pdrs ) Whereas the US versions are usually same price for Stabs, which is always better after turn one Oh and we lack stuff like Detroits finest, Jumbos, all those goodies, but we get No HE and Tally Ho / Broadside (which are pants in MW, only decent in EW, but no HE is worth negative points)

does "no HE" have any positive effect or does it just mean you cant hit infantry?

Well to be fair the Brits do get a few cool tanks, like the big hard to destroy ones, the flame one, and the breaching thing is pretty cool. Semi-indirect is not as good as stabilizers but it's alright to have every now and then. Plus the Canadian ones that reroll to unbail is nice, or the almost-recon ones. So ya US is better in general, but the brits get a few cool things as well, so I do think at least some of their companies can be competitive, but I do prefer the US.

Also I think the US artillery bonuses are better then the brits, and the US para are better then the brits, not allot of reasons to play the brits really. Even British bull dog I don't think is very great honestly, and have never seen the carry on thing be needed ever.

British bulldog is alright.. but you may as well play Cdns since Mission Tactics is better all the time, coupled with the pinned and bailed reroll. Youa re right, brits get Churchills (MW real pricey, LW not enough armor, no good gun, slow) or the Croc (which got mega nerfed in 3rd edition) and the semi recon ones ARE decent.. but again, take the CDN ones for better rules. Breaching one Ive never tied.

Honestly, the British-only lists are usually worse vs any other comparable list. (Brits were my First Army.. pun intended)

I think the re-roll at close range is only 1 specific list, and only if you take a hero guy?

Challengers are just a more expensive version of a fire fly, and moving faster don't exactly synergize with taking stationary long range sots!

Yeah I forgot to mention, the one good tank that are priced right and have ok rules are the Cromwells/Challengers. Diragi uses them and gets good results, eh Matty? haha

IMHO Challengers are >>>> Fireflies. Extra shot (RoF 3 instead of 2), fast (to keep up with cromwell bullet catchers and to flank KTs)

what does a tow hook do?

Either allows you do pull around a camper so the croms can sitsgrieg in style. Or allows them to pull around AT guns (like the 6lber)
