Hah no. Its the famous "What?? $300 bucks to get into the alpha???" game but thats really a kickstarter to get things going. Its come way down as its closer to release.. When I got it, I got the game, lifetime expansions (there is no subscription) and for $25 more, access to all the betas until release. I got this in.. May I think? Game is supposed to be out in late 2014.. so a game I'd already buy, and expansions id already buy, and for 25$ more get into a 6 month beta? For me it was a no-brainer.
