i agree that for sure you need something to deal with infantry,

And then some anti tank guns to deal with tanks,

i like that the armies are restricted tot he two books, makes for a much more balanced and themed tourney,

If I go I'm thinking of this:

infantry platoon in Rams with 50 cals
then I can select one of the following:
infantry platoon in Rams with 50 cals
recce troop of 4 Stuarts or
4 25 pdrs

With the list above, the armd recce have eyes and ears and cautious movement, so I sometimes use some of the tanks to lift GTG, that's why I usually don't use recce for that list.

I also have a bunch of Panthers and STugs. Maybe I'll make a German list.

You don't need to overthink the anti-infantry too much if it's not your type of list, or you simply would rather run armor. There will not be any turn six auto win missions, just like all my other events.

Yes. I agree Duane should get his last few hatches on and get his tanks green, but we're moving into cottage season. So maybe not this year. LOL

In regards to SAR, there are a few things to keep in mind.

Your tank platoons have eyes and ears, and cautious movement, but they're not actual Reece (so don't push back ambushes). Hence, why I nickname them pseduo-reece.

The other thing is that the Stuart Platoon is actually automatically broken up into two platoons of two stuarts each, or just one platoon of two stuarts. So Rob, you'd have 5 platoons in your list if you took the stuarts. However, it's a pretty cheap way of getting yourself to 6 platoons if you could somehow sqeeze in an extra platoon.

Not a lot of cheap platoons to buy for that list to get up to 6 platoons.
I paid an extra 85 points (nothing else to buy) for the third Sherman in the HQ. If I'm correct, it forms a platoon with the 2ic. If I take the 4 tank Stuart platoon that would give me 2 platoons there if you are correct. Now I've got a total of 6 platoons if I go with Stuart Recce over a second infantry platoon or a gun troop. Might play test that before May, but then I'd have to paint a troop of Stuarts (and buy two more).
