On second thought I think I'll give this a pass.  The very thought of painting more germans right now...... I should concentrate on my EW army for June and for Nationals.

Painters of the world rejoice.  Someone else will have a chance to win best painted.  Having said that Matt V surely must have enough painted stuff to do up a LW list.

Also thought for sure it would be more than 24 hours before he found an excuse not to go.

My bad. I miscalculated.  Under the above formula the tank troops are 2 Sherman s and only 1 Firefly and I'm not doing that. And I lose the third HQ tank. Back to Easy Army.

I could do an airborne list...but it would be more painting than I could likely do in the time remaining...seeing as it would be all infantry...

Having no mobile assets sucks too.

That's very close to one of my lists. Zooks are pretty awesome in ambush and obviously assaults.

Never thought of them in ambush, but yeah I see your point. Wish i could get some High AT guns, but not in these lists sadly.

Just with a brit para list, always remember you can night fight in certain missions..... its clutch

82nd has access to Panzerfausts in Market Garden too I think.

Limited air is good enough, the 16" wave off is a pain during late game.

With no mobile assets, the 16" wave off isn't as applicable.

You're assuming you get to sit back and let them come to you. If your opponent closes distance it makes it harder to use planes. The new "2 from terrain and buildings makes placing a lot more difficult as well, I used airborne at Nationals and multiple other events, I use planes in nearly every list I have. It's only worth it to take max dice if you take Air Superiority as well, getting that re-roll early in the game as an alpha strike. There's more AA and opponents air interception to deal with as well.

Ok so here I am sitting in nice warm Italy at 23c. Sorry guys I know it snowed yesterday.

So lucky me, I already have my Brit paras painted and ready to go. I just hope history doesn't repeat if I use them....... I just need to make sure I am not away in May!!!!

Dennis, you big girl, stop your whining!!! I am sure you have a tonne of painted figures to choose from. PLus if I do end up going away you can use my Brits, jus not claim the painting work!!!!

Hmmm now to get home and find a list..

Weekend before is Mothers Day and then the weekend after is the May long weekend.....sounds like a full schedule!
Hence why it's easier to host events up in Petawawa. I'm sure there will be another themed event at some point Andrew, you can help me with the next one if you like?? Elefants for Italy perhaps??

ORRRRRR you dont come up with an event out of the blue right in between a whole bunch of other events/ long weekends, and instead make it in one of the 'dead' months where ppl have nothing ELSE to do on a weekend...
