We currently don't have a PayPal account that will let us use PayPal as a viable method of receiving payment. Maybe email me if this is an issue and we can discuss other options privately.

Awesome! I was hoping that you would say that. Wink

I'm putting in the request today to get the time off. But I know our tournaments tend to fill up quickly, so I figured i'd get my ticket right away.

Just wondering how the tournament inscriptions are going?

The Allied side must be nearly full from what i gathered at the FNF's

There is one Axis and two Allied spots open, assuming those who have reserved send their money in.

The hot topic of the moment (pioneer supply vehicles)
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

RAW (and confirmed by Phil) is that obstacles are put out when the PSV is 'placed'.

Which means that a Pio squad placed in ambush implies ambushing minefields & because these aren't units there's no restrictions on placement.

Now Phil has said use common sense and don't deploy stuff under vehicles but the wwpd guys are still understandably annoyed about the barbed wire around their (wheeled) TD strategy.

The counterpoint is that you are using not ambushing with guns/tanks/etc so effectiveness is not all that out of whack.

Since apparently TOs are implementing house rules on this it would be nice to have some comment on this in the rules package.

i think you shoudl eb able to put a mine field under a tank,

normally the way you know you are in a minefield is when you hit a mine..

I think minefields in general should work in FoW that way (effect would have to be changed for balanced reasons) -- barbed wire not so much.

Well, I know the I95 guys have said to place all obstacles during Deployment, IE before the game starts, whether or not the Pio unit is ambushing or not for their events. Food for thought.

I'm not sure, tbh, what came first -- the I95 ruling or what Phil wrote on the forums.

In my list [currently] I don't have supply vehicles but, imho, given what TOs have done / contentiousness of this it would be a good idea to decide now --- not 'leave it up to the players' and 30 minutes into a game.

Their interpretation is that when the rule stays "place all obstacles when you place your PSV" -- the argument being that you 'place' your pios in reserve/ambush.
