Looks like the first books are up, hope they get the others done soon. Seems they could have ported Greg's work? I'll try it out and so far the feedback is positive apparently.

Wow.
They didn't even try to hide the fact that they just bought Gregs work and are charging more for it................

They never did hide the fact. They let Greg do it, and let him charge a pittance to cover his work until such time as they 'bought' it What did you expect? They didnt cease and desist him like GW did with Armybuilder way back in the day this whole time at least This reminds me, time to make a million lists from my existing Easy Army unlocked books and save them, so that I don't lose out when his site goes dark.

Something like $1 a list... w/ a discount if you get every list in a book.

Yes the price is in the system, you can buy lists right now. I think it is 1 dollar for individual lists, and if you buy a full book you get a discount. I added the great war lists and they were 1.50, buying every list in say the remagen book is 6.75. Seems reasonable to me, but the big compilation books probably would have allot of lists I don't want so would just add the ones I am interested in. I imagine that unlike easy army you won't be buying access to every list ever made, but just buying the ones you want is still pretty cheap.
I don't really see an issue but can understand people not liking shit getting more expensive.
Thanks;
Mike

A UI is a UI. Unless you are Apple there's nothing all that special about it.... IMHO the way Greg did it was fairly conventional so why change out the workflow if you are already using best practices?
I did notice a few things that are new:
1. You can add a note to the unit
2. Under Options you can send to a tournament (freezes list and and adds a QR code -- a way down the line for TOs to validate lists w/o all of the books?)

Re: Forces of War in Thursday Update
Gregg is actually the lead developer of Forces as well, its his baby like EA was.
Its an evolving product, If you have suggestions, head over to the official forums and have a voice! its still a product for the players, by the players. BF is just getting their cut now.
FYI, I bought Barbarossa few days ago and it was $8.25, when you factor in the recent price reduction on books, you can purchase the physical copy and the digital list for the same old price.
