Mid War CAN NATS (No Monsters?)

Aren't they back? How can we not run any mid war monsters in a MW Nationals tournament when they are tournament legal? Anyone else plan on taking some to the event? I know they are not all allowed, but here are the ones that are.

The following Mid-war Monsters can be used in any Flames Of War tournament:

■ Any German company may replace all of its Schwere Panzer Platoons with Schwere Panzer (Porsche) Platoons, and replace all Tiger I E tanks in the Company HQ with Tiger (P) tanks at no cost.

■ You may field Dicker Max and Sturer Emil in an Experimental Tank-hunter Platoon in place of a Tank-hunter Platoon in Eastern Front.

■ You may field 8.8cm Flak18 Sfl in a Bunker Flak Platoon in Eastern Front.

■ You may field Panzer I F in an Infantry Tank Platoon in place of an Assault Tank Platoon in Eastern Front.

■ A Soviet force, excluding a Mixed Tankovy Batalon, may replace any or all of its Medium Tankovy Companies with Eksperimental Tankovy Companies. If it is a Tankovy Batalon it can purchase the Command tank in the Battalion HQ as a T-43 medium tank for 95 points.



I think it is up to the organizer, but I don't think that means the National events in either the US or now here in Canada?? Thoughts?

This is how its been for like a year and a half. These were the MWM that were really used. The only BF sanctioned event I can think of that actually let you use any you wanted was the US Masters event two years ago. In fact I fought a guy who had the T-43s at Histo last year.

MWM say in the book "get opponents permission to use" some of them are ridiculous like the kv-5, the t-43 are preaty good too.

Yes but on the BF website, there is a list of historical ones that are legit, IE you dont need opponents permission. They are tournament legal, and they are the ones Matt listed.

Yeah, the text I posted is directly from BF and says can be used in any tournament. I know they were gone off the list, but you also get what you pay for and they're expensive, but very cool looking.

Its a very slippery slope.

We've had several of the American big cheeze players call us already with the same inquiry.

You know they're coming with TOG II and Churchill gun carriers.

In the interest of keeping the game fair and balanced across the board we went to BF for guidance, to which they replied "TO's Decision on any and all exemptions" so we banned all MWM.

Why would they come with TOGs...? THey arent on the approved list. Like I said, its only the masters that I know of that allowed ANY and ALL for a sanctioned tourney. Im not there to win any games anyways, so it'll be shitty british tanks or even shittier italian tanks for me this fall
