I got a 6-1 victory for my first game,

No matter what happens at least I didn't get destroyed in every game,

Pretty good turn out for nationals too, here's hoping this becomes an annual thing

6-1
3-4

I know Matt wanted to debate KTs in an upcoming podcast. I guess the options are:

1. 1 KT in a CV list
2. 4? FT KTs from Devil's Charge
3. 6x RT KTs from Bridge
4. none

Quick recap: Shawn Morris wins overall, so keeps it out of the dirty US hands at least!! BJ Lamure wins best sportsmen, 2 really good US players came 2nd and 3rd overall (2nd was Phil Messier with the Remagen 6 KT that always defend.. ask Bob how much fun that was to face in a defensive battle Wink

It was very very good, no drama, good AC in the place so while it got a bit hot NOTHING like Virginia. And I am starting to like the idea of a downtown hotel too.. I asked as many of the guys who drove/flew in if they would prefer it be somewhere there or more like Gamesummit with separate hotels that they have to cab to.... they all said hotel except one guy from QC Wink

It actually worked really well

I was pretty skeptical at first but I'm glad it worked

it was nice to be in Canada instead of Quebec, I didn't have to exchange any money before going over Smile

Over all it went well considering there was 44ish players. I just wish more people would fail there armour/infantry saves when i shoot them.

I faced six infantry lists with a grand total of 14 tanks for the tournament. That averaged just over 2 tanks per game. Everyone player I faced were good guys, far better than Historicon. Hoping it gets bigger and better next year. If we can provide a bunch of tables, then Dave from BF can travel up by air or motorcycle. I suggested they also have a "Best Table" prize to encourage people to bring nice tables.

If Battlefront can supply tables for the US nationals, they should be able to supply tables for the Canadian Nationals.....

At what point does it become a BF event? It may as well just be GameSummit if we are providing tables/terrain........

BF will supply tables if they have to, but that means trucking them over the border and spending a few hours trying to convince CBSA that he was not here to make any money or run a business. And Dave from BF would rather fly or take his motorcycle than take a truck.

So, are you in or out, for us or against us? And we are going to get way more participants through BF than through GS.

Who assumes responsibility for broken/damaged personal terrain then?

I am all for a Canadian Nationals becoming an official yearly event, run by BattleFront.

If I move within driving distance I can supply you with 6-7 full BF terrain tables, not an issue. I might even bring the terrain to NB anyway and would gladly bring it up if needed.

No one says you have to provide any personal terrain.

I have, and continue to, supply terrain.

Never mind, the point is lost I fear........

The only issue with having a downtown venue is the breakeven #s are way higher. But I guess more people came so it worked out.
