It says 77 today... I think that might be a counter, counting the number of days since their last tournament. And 77 days ago was Nov 15, which was the late war tournament we were at.

the site [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] has been updated.. so MW in March, EW in Summer, Late war THEMED in November, though no details yet on the theme.  I like this route.. LW can be such a pain, that theming it up seems to be the way forward.

MW German arty is / can be horsedrawn. But I like the idea of a hussar force better (and in my experience the German 105s are even worse than the Brit 25lbs due to the lack of special rules).

Also, Bob just sent me an e-mail stating that the Mid-War tournament has been delayed due to scheduling conflicts (it was on Easter Sunday).

The tournament has been re-scheduled for April 3, 2016.

Everything else is the same as far as I know.

Easter Sunday is March 27 and the tournament was supposed to be March 20 (I thought). Anyways, now it gives us a long weekend before the tournament to get painting in. I once built and painted two scratch built 40K Leopard II's on an Easter Weekend, so anything is possible.

I may just go with my balanced list of Canadian infantry, 6 pounders, 25 pounders and six Shermans. Nothing to paint.

All,

In discussion with Gary it has been decided to change the Mid War tournament date to 03 Apr. The previous date conflicted with Spring Break and the last Sun in Mar is Easter Sun. So we decided to move the date to 03 Apr. Please pass the word. Cheers

I'm happy it's been moved as well, a little extra time to maybe come up with something a little different and I am able to attend now! I was going to be away the week prior I think and I have been itching to play something Flames related for a few weeks. There should be a good turnout from us and plenty of time to maybe even convince Duaner to hit the road with us!?? Not sure who else is in at this point, so far it looks like Andrew, Kevin, Rob, Den and myself? Chris? Tristan? Marty? Perhaps some Brits from Brett making the trip?

I have to inform both Rob and Andrew and anyone else who was going to bum a ride off of me, that I can no longer attend. Consequently, I will be unable to give you guys a ride out...

Unfortunately, the timing of my experiments is based on the population explosion cycle of my flies, and guess what day they will explode? So... blame my flies.

Give the Petawawa guys a good running, have a good time, and let me know how it goes!
