WoT thread
Marty -- I don't remember if it was you or Scorp that was asking about the IS-2 Berlin last night but yes it's good.
Takes one of the best tier-for-tier heaviums (RU IS), which has a very cost effective APRC round, gives it the slightly better layout of the Chinese IS-2 and makes it a premium vehicle (better crew training and credit earning). Oh and it comes with a crew that has BiA as 0-slot skills. Fantastic tier 7 that only looses out situationally (ie: hulldown T29, invisible E25, Tiger in the open at long ranges, etc).
All of the Berlin tanks are pretty decent value (Cromwell B > IS-2 > Rudy > ISU-122).

Re: WoT thread
During December WG did a 30-days of Christmas and offered pretty much every premium for a couple of days so I wouldn't put it past them making the bromwell available again at some point. At least with the action X the line has a decent tier 10 to make use of the crew. But decreasing there's the decreasing value of buying these premiums as the game gets older and stuff...

Re: WoT thread
OTOH it looks like the M41 Walker Bulldog is going to be released as a T8 German light tank (premium) as one of those limited time money grabs and that might be up your alley.

Early stats breakdown on wotlabs (Opinion 1):
It's on tanks.gg (http://tanks.gg/wot/compare#t:amx-13-90.c:ru-251.c:t-54-ltwt.c:t49.c:wz-132.c:m-41-90-mm)
So let's see, going to ignore the T49 -
Bit of a mixed bag, speed wise it should be marginally behind the WZ-132 in acceleration/agility, but with a faster top speed.
It is though aside slight gun handling, traverse and ground resistance advantages flat out worse to the RU-251. It's likely to have worse camo as well.
It's that 170 AP pen, plus 0.38 accuracy and that 206 pen HEAT shell that really kills it.
190 AP pen and 250 HEAT like the RU-251 it would be fun, or give it a Pershing/Super P style 250-260 APCR shell.
(Opinion 2):
Basically yes a worse RU with slightly better gun handling. I'd say it needs a buff, probably to that gun, they must realise that gun doesn't cut it on a tier 8 light.
It's like playing an M46 Patton with the Pershing gun and you are unable to use any premium ammo, 206 HEAT pen is probably about as effective as 190 AP pen.
Sounds like they should have nerfed the tank and kept it at T7 and instead of bumping it to T8. Looks so sexy though but -- really if I were to buy something I should grab tier 8 pref-MM tank.

So let's see, going to ignore the T49 -
- Worse DPM than the RU.
- Joint worst penetration with the 1390 (which has 240 APCR)
- Best aim time
- Worst accuracy
- Second best dispersion after the T-54 ltw
- Worse gun depression than RU
- Joint second best speed, behind RU
- Worst power to weight
- Second best ground resistances after WZ
- Best turret traverse
- Second best tank traverse behind WZ
- Joint lowest HP

Re: WoT thread
I have the bulldog and love it, but no desire for a premium version of it, especially German??
I'm just playing bulldog to get the T49 for some fun. I already have the T57 so doing this tree over is for shits and giggles, lol.

Re: WoT thread
And it looks like a single shot (which misses the most fun aspect of the bulldog-- a 15-shot autoloader).

It's funny but aside from a game or two to try it, I've never really used the autoloader option.
Re: WoT thread
Good news Marty!
Next NA On-Track is the T57 (and they are going through the light line so bonuses for grinding the Bulldog - missions - and a price decrease - 30% - on T49!)

Re: WoT thread
I saw. Combined with triple exp this weekend and I'm basically ready for my T49 now! Just need to grind some credits as I bought my Centurion 7/1 last night.

You already paint 900% more than all the rest of us combined. I think you'll be fine

Ammo choice on the 90m is pretty meh... HE(P), HEAT, and HE. Gunna be expensive to run until I unlock the 152 I think.

Re: WoT thread
Lol. The bigger issue I have is that they put all the emblems on the turret, rather than on the hull (with tank number on the turret of course).
There was supposed to be a Paris map introduced a while back but there was that terrorist attack a couple of weeks before the patch was to be released so that put an end of those plans. I think it will be back soon as "capital in ruins" or something like that. No idea if the events in Brussels will change those plans.

Re: WoT thread
I'm actually doing pretty darn well in the T49 over a fairly small number of games. The gun is shit but I run a lot of gold and it's decent.
Re: WoT thread
Same; though wrecking rental CDCs with standard HEP ammo certainly helps

also the british, russians, germans, japanese, americans never fought against the british, russians, germans, japanese, americans at the same time.
Re: WoT thread
Hey now, wot did have that have that confrontation mode (everyone of the same nation on the same team) but it had silly mm issues (like 15 hellcats versus 15 kv-1s -- winner was too map dependent).
They were speculating bringing back historical mode but as Pve missions (depending on the success of armoured warfare I guess).

Some weird April Fools Day might be inc to wot --
There will be 4 ships, named «Othishaf», Pokeboat, Das Boot and Bottlesheep. when you enter battle in one of them, you’ll play the special game mode on the Ruinberg in Jacuzzi.

Re: WoT thread
Ended up buying the German Bulldog...it's actually quite a nice tank. A light tank with serious punch. Makes decent money for a light tank for once.
Re: WoT thread
Lol same. Most of the rentals have dissuaded me from buying tanks (esp the FCM 40t, Mutz) but the Bulldog was a ton of fun.
Next time I'm on the PC I'll link you to a really good skin that gets rid of all the default crap.
