Lots of V4 News

There's lots out right now on V4. Battlefront has a pretty lengthy bunch of posts on their forum. WWPD has released another podcast on the subject. The boys down under have a decent overview of some of the changes. It looks like we're moving away from historical and going into a 'take whatever' you want in your lists. This direction is a little disappointing, but I'm still optimistic. I'm trying to figure out how they got the V4 book down to less than 120 pages.

Looks like V4 = TY for Mid War. Simple as that, with "conversion" pdfs/books for EW and LW - at least initially.

I'm in a wait and see approach, but if it becomes "take anything", then it wont be a game I would get back into inside the tournament scene - ever. Have to wait and see... TY is scratching the itch right now..and since I have a load of models, costs me nothing to just focus on TY for now.

I agree with the wait and see approach,

If Midwar get too far away from historical accuracy that might take alot of the fun out of the game, I don't have an issue with a few formations getting access to units they didn't have if it makes sense they could have had them, but that is a slippery slope.. Unbound formations in 40K..

Anyhow TY fun, looking to play more of that for now

listen to the actual Why We Fight podcast.  It is pretty good.. 1 hr 45 minutes of non stop V4 rules chatter.   Finally.. Crusaders that will be able to: double time without breaking down, and not getting double shots against!!

RIP Observer and staff table teams though.  Am debating making a 'sideline crowd' base with all the sidelined models in my gun platoons haha.
