Fulda Gap is interesting, but if it uses the same mechanics as FoW (WW2) then count me out- why buy more models to play the SAME GAME!?!?

I think there would have to be new rules with missiles and reactive armour, etc.

Here's the link [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
"The end of April sees the release of Colours of War, our brand new painting system specifically designed for painting 15mm models. This book accompanies a newly engineered paint range that will initially be out in handy army-specific sets and then followed by a range of separates."
I was wondering why the books didn't include the Vallejo paint numbers anymore... well I guess now that shoe has dropped.
"Both forces have some unique equipment used for this final battle from the German Kleinpanzer Wanze and Waffentrager"
*flinch* waffles in FoW as well.
And with the advances in technology, we are looking forward to seeing forces of M1-Abrams covered by A10-Thunderbolts pitting their might against the swathes of T-72s and BMP-mounted infantry.
So ugly and yet sexy

There will be new rules
Oh, like modified front armor and AT values? Sure, some units will have lightly tested special rules, but the game mechanics will be functionally the same - all Battlefront games are based on the same game mechanics.
The mechanics are great- i love them, don't get me wrong - but some new thinking for a whole new era would be great..........

And I was hoping it'd be the same to be honest. With all the games we play and want to play, I'm quite fine with the same ruleset, lol

Well, Brad dropped a hint last time I was in Pet that the game mechanics were different than FOW, and that there were cards involved in the current test or something. WHether or not V4 of FOW will follow suit after and copy it is anyone's guess, but he said it was pretty different.

Re: HUGE NEWS (unless your name is Panzrkommandeur)
the new american late war book has nuclear bombs in it so...
Re: HUGE NEWS (unless your name is Panzrkommandeur)
No, those are atomic bombs. Nuclear bombs were the 1950s. Know your Army
JK JK most people get it wrong too.. for example when they say 'Iran wants Nukes', while they want thermonuclear bombs (which fuses atoms together, triggered by an atomic trigger blast), they would be happy with just an atomic bomb (splitting the atom).
Sorry this is what you get for having an astrophysicst brother

You know... a generic middle east era game would work pretty much Vietnam (asymmetric warfare and all). Just give the insurgents bikes and you'd be set! Though, obviously, it's way too recent history to touch with a 10-foot pole.
Not entirely sold on a cold-wars-gone-hot in 15mm ... 6 or 10 might work better but time will tell.
