New way of doing things like age of sigmar. The way age of sigmar has crushed all expectations and is selling like hot cakes really seems to have influenced GW.

The Idea of 3 ways to play is very interesting,

Age of Sigmar still does not interest me, I was always more interested in ranked battle in a fantasy setting,

But an update the 40k system is interesting, I wonder how the codex's will be handled, they say the old ones are not compatible. The biggest turn off for me has been the inner of Codex and Datsheet releases, it was just too much work to keep up with.. and it fealt like a money grab.

Looking forward to giving the free rules a read

Seems pretty cool. the 3 ways to play seems like something BF should do with flames of war.. IE have the Matched Play for tournaments, Narrative for campaigns. "Why should we trust you?" coffee shot out my nose when I read that

And here I thought it would take Hasbro to buy GW for it to turn around

This might give me the opportunity to dust off my models and play in the July tournament in Petawawa. When the edition 7 rulebook cost $100 I stopped playing.

I can see the appeal for people with existing armies. For myself it's a non-starter, I see GW as too expensive to even consider.

No real appeal to be honest - grimdark is too overblown now imho... but never say never I guess

Pretty neat to see where they are going with this. GW has had a damn awesome last 2 years now. Stoked to see where this leads!
