Flames of War V3/V4 Team Yankee
The rotating of rules has already started to show it's presence in a tournament that hasn't even happened yet. Brad posted on the Battlefront forums letting everyone know that the V3 rules regarding ATK/DEF will be used for Nationals, I don't even mind so much that Brad had to post it....at least someone in Petawawa is reading the forums with only a few weeks to go before the event kicks off. It's not what I would call major, but enough is enough....if there is a new rules set out....use it. No matter how shitty they are......and they're shit to be honest. Team Yankee=Cool models=sales which confuses company into thinking the TY rules are awesome, they're not. (Good luck convincing me they play tested the game at all).....V4 got it right at least with REMOUNT then MOTIVATION....why fix it in TY, we'll just put those changes in FoW instead.
Which is why two lists dominate TY to death, British Mech and the W German lists where AA guns apparently won the Cold War. Somewhere around 80K T-54/55 variants were built for the soviets. Compare that with 400(?) Gepards, only a 200:1 ratio no big deal.....
I can't even read my rules book for fear of finding more spelling, grammar and rules errors that my 8 year old son wouldn't make. I've got one section of the rules in the main book saying one thing, then the quick reference charts in the back that say something completely different and can't even spell it. It would have just been nice to have the new movement mechanics.....my favorite BTW and the changes to the artillery. Other than the fact that your army or formation or battalion or whatever the fuck they changed it to.....only brought enough smoke rounds for one smoke fire mission. Rob? Jump in anytime and let me know whether this was a thing or not. Another brilliant move.
I'm not giving upjust yet...that is until they eff it up by making EW/LW into the MW Monster of a mess they have right now, crap lists, stupid bazinga cards....scrambling to fix it 'A La Battlefront'

Also if BF is smart I think they would do well to consider splitting Late War it Late and Late Late,
Since they are redoing the books anyway they could easily split it up..

So people are just using the V3 books and not bothering with the V4 ones?
Re: Flames of War V3/V4 Team Yankee
You can just use the main rulebook and the old books just like normal. Some people are avoiding V4 for flames all together. It's not a bad game, it's a good game if you forget there were any other versions out there. Not sure if it's been mentioned. Nowhere in your rulebook does it mention V4. It's truly a 'new' game for BF.
Andrew, I hope that never happens, I'm secretly hoping they don't redo the lw books. I don't like the way the armies are in mw, and I don't want to see RE-released lw with only three lists and then bf playing catch up for three years.

Matt I agree,
If they redo later, I hope they get everything done in short order,
