Star wars X-wing/armada campaign
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] ** This Wiki has all cards, ships, pilots, ect you can use to to build your fleets, Note that pilots and ships have different values for the campaign though since you buy them individually. **
Message me with any questions and updates and i'll update the threads as needed, i'm going to make a 3rd thread as an action thread once we start, each turn will be 1 post. That way we can keep track of what happened as well as what unique characters die, i figure we can also post pics on the site and do posts each turn.
Imperials: Wildcard, Pripyat, Lothlann, SirRandMcNally
Rebels: Joyous Oblivion, Twinlinked, Diragi, PhantomRescue
Scum and Villainy: Ca$h, Matt Varnish
There is no need for anyone to purchase models if they do not want to, Ca$h and I have enough models for everyone, I know JO has some models as well.
How to build your initial fleet:
(i'll go into more detail in a separate thread of what you can and can't take initially ect)
You start with 300 fleet points.
Step 1: pick a unique pilot (eg Boba Fett in firespray), pay full points for him and his ship.
Step 2: give him any upgrades you want to give him, restrictions of ship type as usual (you can only use equipment the ship is allowed), you can also buy a title for his ship and a modification (standard rules for modifications and titles).
Step 3: Buy ships for you faction. (prices have been changed because you buy the pilots separate) (I will make a separate thread for pilot and ship pricing)
Step 4: Buy pilots capable of flying the ships.
Step 5: Buy basic equipment for your ships. (missiles, torpedoes, astromechs, upgraded guns) (disposable weapons such and missiles, torps, bombs are bought 3 per point cost)
Each mission you can pick your ships, pilots, and load outs (see other thread for details). If you play 2 mission in one round you can not use the same ships and pilots in both missions, all missions per round/turn are considered simultaneously, this could happen if you attack a system and someone attacks a system you control.

Sticky'd
Also, 3 factions would increase options for who can play who, since Imp/Rebs both fight scum - just adds options I think!

Re: Star wars X-wing/armada campaign
You don't have to but it is in your best interest because that will be your only elite pilot, its the only way to get a pilot with the bonuses written on the cards, all other pilots are the base pilots who then level up. ie generic rouge squadron pilots, as luke has the ability "when defending, you may change 1 of your focus to an evade.
The other pilots will become better but they wont get the written bonus that a named character gets.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] thats how i look them up.
also there is the hawk (kyle katans ship), firespray (slave 1/boba fett)
FYI a y-wing is 16 meters long and an x-wing is 12.5 so its not that much bigger and the canopy is longer but the windows are much smaller then an x-wing, there is also no top window only sides.

Re: Star wars X-wing/armada campaign
he is also converting it all to chaos dwarf, the highest point game seems to be 150, smallest size is 50. you roll for point values after rolling for what mission to run.

Re: Star wars X-wing/armada campaign
It's a 2 arm spiral galaxy just like ours to be exact though most planets are on one side of the galaxy more then the other.
So the campaign setting is set within one system, your supposed to just roll 2d6 and look at a chart that gives you a total of objects in that system, then you roll to see what each object is, space station, planet, ect, then you roll again when they are explored to see what kind of planet or station.
I think it would be more interesting to do a map based campaign that we take systems and try to hold them vs just bodies inside 1 system. The trick how do we force combat, if were all moving around trying to search that galaxy we won't run into each other much until the map is explored and we see which systems are worth trying to fight over. As were the system they have is few objects and you know which are worth more so people will keep trying to fight over that same object.
What I was thinking is when you go to a new system you roll to see what kind of planet it is as well as what kind of system it is, like if it is populated then it may have a space station, or if its a mining colony it may have a huge asteroid field or even a nebula that screws up late 70s based targeting systems. But we run into the problem of creating conflicts, because unless 2 people pick the same system we will just be warping around each other.

So I can run my own named CHaracter.. the Gungan Pirate Lord Har-Har Binks? In his trusty B-Wing, ofc. "Meesa thinks you are dead, Rebel Scum!"
