It'll be nice to have an area for armies and lists for sure. Even gives Andrew somewhere to roll so he doesn't smash terrain or models. Hahahahaha!
Let me know if you need me to bring any stuff, I could easily do 4 tables.
So you just proved why 6x4 aren't that bad lol. Sure it gives more maneuverability but also allows more shooting.
I just find games are very...one dimensional the smaller the board. And while I know you don't know how it's like in a fantasy setting you're used to flames of war and same thing there. Smaller board = less dynamic game.
Re: Kings of War tournament - Saturday 3 October
Ran out of plastic glue. But I have the following assembled now:
20 greatcoat light infantry with muskets
20 line infantry with muskets
10 plate and sword hvy cavalry
10 sword and musket dragoons
Two 6lbr cannons
Two wizards on foot.. two warriors on foot.
I still have another forty odd inf models on sprue.. two brigadiers in horse and five "outrider" type horsemen with rifles sword and bearskin hats.
Andree.. what's the painting requirements?

looks like the requirements for this tournament will be assembled and primed with unit movement trays,
keeping the bar low for the first tourney..
thoughts?

Re: Kings of War tournament - Saturday 3 October
i think for the first tourney we are better off to ensure people feel they can have their armies ready,
FoW never seems to have had a painting requirement.. do you think one is required for future events?

It would be nice to have painting requirements later on. Motivation to get shit painted. Otherwise we get people showing up with the same unpainted or half painted army year after year.
Re: Kings of War tournament - Saturday 3 October
thats why i am leaning towards primed as a minimum for this event,
once people prime they will start painting,
even if you prime skaven brown and then slowly work away at the detil, it still looks aot better then grey plastic.. i like the idea of painting requirements though, like 3 colors and based etc.

I will have some colours on them.. what is nice is there a handful of Brit and French caualty models, taking a dirt nap.. so I can try speed painting techniques on them first. I still need to assemble my Voltiguers (skirmishers) and the third inf block tonite then I can start priming and so on
I have a post of my progress already up on the DD Blog.
