Re: Kings of War tournament - Saturday 3 October
yeah i think it is pretty reasonable,
especially for folks that get a chance to walk around and see the other events that are happening, the KoW schedule should be laid back enough to make that possible
I am actually at a real loss regarding how long 1000 point rounds should be, i think 1.5 hours is sufficient eh..

Re: Kings of War tournament - Saturday 3 October
if we start at 10 (registration at 0930) and allow 2 hours per game we could play 4 rounds and be done at 1830 with a 30 minute lunch,
is that too long a day?

Two hours per game of KoW? That's crazy long. It's a game with a turn limit and I think Tristan and I played two games in an hour and a half.

It will also be our first tourney with the game system.
Worst case, we can always start new rounds if all finish well ahead of time.

Re: Kings of War tournament - Saturday 3 October
I think it would be best to reduce the round lengths to 1.5 hours,
We wanted to give people time to walk around the event maybe go shopping etc. We could do 1.5h rounds and a 1.5 hour lunch to give people time to grab food and check out the event
Does that sound reasonable? I would like the tourney to be laid back enough that people aren't rushing.

Re: Kings of War tournament - Saturday 3 October
that is tricky.. maybe a french dragon..
as for the schedule i prefer that it not be Go Go Go so if the one proposed sounds reasonable i think we will go with it,

Your call. 20$ says someone runs out of time, in which case I break one of Phantoms models (as they were mine originally )

I would like to get a few more games in at that point level to see how long the run, we are going from 750 to 1000 which is basically 1-2 extra units, not sure how much time that will take
maybe Friday?

$21.50 - for the Saturday Day pass
$10.00 - for tourney registration
$31.50 - total as long as you register online and not at the door.
its an extra $10 to get a full weekend pass if you plan to come back on Sunday.

Schedule looks fine, like it was mentioned, as soon as all the results are in, roll right into next game.

That is my thinking, and with a nice big break to go check out the market at lunch i think it should make for a pretty good day,

Den,
i believe have a solution, for your French Napoleonic warbest i believe you should model an ode to Napolean Dynamite namely a "Liger"
I mean a Napoleonic army without a Liger fighting in its ranks is a bit of a missed opportunity i think,

Well... It turns out Ligers are a real thing...

Just a cross of a tiger and a lion. But they're incapable of producing compatible offspring of their own, and typically before being born. Though interestingly enough, they grow bigger than either.
I'll stop derailing the topic now... =P

Re: Kings of War tournament - Saturday 3 October
Silly question :
Why is KoW $10 when Warmachine is $5?
I don't care about the $5 - just looks odd on the registration page....

Re: Kings of War tournament - Saturday 3 October

I expect the better tables for KOW than for WM.. even though it will be the opposite of that.
