I'm starting to really dig into this Tanks Giving , think i have something that will work well, or badly..

Will hopefully know if i can pull it off in the next few weeks,

I'm getting a little bit done at a time and likely won't be 100% done before the tournament, but at least they'll look ok. It'll just be the final details that are missing I think.
Once they're all jammed together on the bases, the look of all the models is not going to matter much.

As far as the tanks go, it's going to be a good turnout. Quite a bit of interest already and looks like there might even be 3-4 guys from here going up. Which will be great.

this is my list i am planning to bring to Pet for Tanks Giving:

Platoon 1: 2 Elefant

Platoon 2: 4 panzer IV H

Platoon 3: 3 STuH 42

Platoon 4: 2 Armoured SP Quad AA

Platoon 5: HQ plus 2 Section of Motorcycle/keublewagen Recce


So be warned, no complaints when i wreck face, or steel last place again..

Uh, yeah that looks sweet. The PDF allows a different hq than the platoons? Normally you have to match it up with same type. I've never read it, it's a lw PDF based on what theatre? Italy books might offer better choices Andrew.

Hey Matt,

The PDF is neat because it allows the Tiger P as the HQ,

Something about in LW they were low on Elephants so the regwomwnr IC was a Tiger P. It is basically an elefant with a Tiger turret, doesn't get Tiger ace skills though..

Chris, that's alot of armour.. Hens and chicks tho right?

Absolutely, I count anything that has tracks and a gun for the most part. M10's, Marders etc......those to me are legal and will be used by other people in other lists.

The main thing is that the M10C's are listed as Self-propelled Anti-tank Guns. Does this count as a third tank platoon, as they are fully tracked and have turrets?

they are "tank teams" so yes, count as tanks.

Thats a slippery slope definition though.

A German heavy platoon are "tank teams" but could consist only of 8cm mortar half tracks, for 110 points. Bam, 3rd "tank" platoon.

I believe the spirit of the tank restriction in this case is that three of the units have to be made up of vehicles that would be found in World of Tanks

un-armoured recce jeeps are tank teams but they don't count, half tracks don't count either I believe because you can dismount them..

Ha ha ha! Well, I was waffling between a 30 T-34 list (see the AAR Matty just posted to the main site) that I've been painting all night, a IS-2 list, and that Canadian one. But since you won't make it, I may have to play the Canadian one in your stead. =P
